Delicious, organic, amazing cafe with a low key, enjoyable vibe. Thankful to have found a place on our vacation that provided us with a healthy meal while on the road.

Quality local food nicely prepared. Friendly atmosphere. Best place for a delicious omelette that comes with salad and/or potatoes. Great addition to Arcata.

I just had an amazing and healthy breakfast. Even my greens were cooked to perfection. My omelet was a burst of unique and delicious flavor. I will definitely eat here again.

BEST ORGANIC restaurant on the north coast! You cant find an ALL organic place to go anywhere in this town. You can tell they really care about the products they use and quality of ingredients. MUCH APPRECIATED.

Incredible huevos rancheros. Pinto beans are sublime. Great refillable coffee and lovely outdoor eating area in the back. High quality local ingredients make this somewhat more expensive than other options.

Cafe Phoenix has absolutely everything anyone could want. Super fresh, backyard greens to your plate and other local farms, almost everything has a vegan or vegetarian substitute. Perfect portions for breakfast or lunch and they started doing dinners which I have not yet had but are sure are wonderful. Teas, kombuchas, smoothies, wellness drinks, alcoholic drinks, hearty or light. You name it they have it. Definitely worth a visit, or two, or three... You get it.

Great staff, great location, great decor and seating and of course great food that is unique and high quality. I recommend for breakfast or early morning get togethers/meetings.

I can’t wait to go back. The gluten free focaccia is worth going here alone. Love the smoothies, Golden milk, bowl of rice/beans. And beautiful backyard. Will be trying more on the menu soon!

Delicious and healthy! I had the BLT on gluten free focaccia (which I never expect gluten free to be good) but it was amazing! We sat in the back by the garden with butterflies flying around, kind of perfect.

The freshest, yummiest, and most beautiful food I've seen at a restaurant in a while ;) Great Vegan/GF/vegetarian options. LOCAL ingredients...the freshness of this food is amazing, and my toddler loves it too. Indoor and outdoor (dogs on leashes welcome) seating. Beautiful lil garden to enjoy outside as well. This place feeds your body and soul =)

Went there for breakfast this morning and the food was incredibly bland, some of the vegetables were rotten, and I found 13 pieces of hair in my food. It’s now 8:30 ish pm and I’ve just thrown up. I think I got food poisoning.

Best breakfast place in all of north cal. All the fruit and vegetables are fresh and some amazing meals that compliment the beautiful atmosphere.

Very tasty, good for you, whole food. Everything I have had was well put together with great flavors and made me feel good all day. Only downside is it is pretty expensive for a counter service cafe.

Great farm fresh breakfast! Two perfectly poached eggs with grilled vegetables and a side salad with pickles onions! I absolutely appreciate their commitment to local and organic food! Housemade cashew and almond milks are a gigantic bonus! Skip the espresso drinks here and go for one of their specialty tea latte creations! Good fast service! I would have loved it if the heat was on but it seems all the Arcata shops don’t do much to keep customers warm.Adding on next visit: You had me at Organic food & dog friendly patio! I’ve ate here multiple times now and every 👏🏼 single 👏🏼 time 👏🏼 it’s on point and delicious. Great service, which is a huge bonus in these times! Farm fresh, organic produce! I LOVE their maca matcha latte, chai latte and the house-made nut milks! The Hash is filling and tasty. I often have one if their daily specials! Go here if you’re hungry, even when it’s crowded, the goes fast and the food is surprisingly quick to be delivered. Love this place!!

It is all organic and pretty flavorful. Service was a little slow, but that might just be the pace of life on the Northern California Coast.

Food is fine. Not great, not bad just fine. Often bland, dry, and lukewarm. No wifi, so not a great place to study with a laptop or phone.

I have eaten here twice and both times were really good. I liked how they used fresh ingredients and mixed the flavors nicely. They have options for both the meat eaters and vegetarians. Service was pleasant too. Good job Cafe Phoenix!

Cafe Phoenix always leaves more to be desired. I always leave feeling that they left something off my plate/something was missing. Or the feeling...why did I just pay $42 on breakfast for two and why am I still hungry on the way out the door. Overall, the food is pretty good, locally sourced, healthy. But expensive for what you get. Another thing that really bothers me is when they charge you $42 and don’t even bring you a fork/knife...and you have to bus your own dishes...If you are going to eat here I recommend the breakfast burrito. A bit dry but the best proportion of food for the price.

Smoothies are pretty good and so are their silence but I'm pretty sure today they gave me regular bread and not gluten free so now I'm a little bit upset with them

If you insist on eating animals, there are plenty of options, but it is truly a vegan or vegetarian spot that will leave you very satisfied. They don't mind if you ask for things to be removed or substituted. If it was a bit more affordable, I'd go a couple times a week.

I recommend this small Cafe to everyone looking for a quick bite to eat. Very friendly staff and atmosphere. I went in on a Sunday and had the eggs benny with baked salmon, it was delicious! It was raining so we didn't bring our dog to eat outside in the patio, but once the sun warms us up we will visit again!

The food is quite good. It is a farm to table restaurant so all of the ingredients are fresh and local. The menu could use more variety. Nice outdoor seating in the back, it looks out into a garden area.

Organic, warm and satisfying cafe counter style, and gluten free available. Outdoor working garden with picnic tables, friendly service. I got a turmeric latte made to order with soy instead of coconut milk (a little easier to to digest, next time I might ask if they have oat milk) to go with my bowl of rice, beans and kale. Great pickled red onions!

Excellent food and atmosphere. A treasure found and shared with the people I most want to spend time with.

Saw two big rats in the garden area!! My friend ordered enchiladas which were very sad and I ordered the curry which shouldn't even be called curry. The curry had zero flavor, barely any "curry", and the vegetables were barely steamed.

Generous portions, friendly staff, fresh ingredients all combine to win my recommendation for the Cafe Phoenix. I ordered the omelette with the addition of spinach. They are willing to make slight adjustments to the menu items. I was also pleasantly surprised to discover the cook used a nice, flavorful, aged cheddar in the omlette's preparation. My companion enjoyed the Phoenix Classic of "perfectly" poached eggs with veggies, (brussels sprouts, cabbage, broccoli, carrots, and the addition of spinach). We noted minimal, if no, use of butter or salt in the preparation of the meals. Cafe Phoenix has a small informal dining area with seating in front of a large picture window where you can watch the world pass by on G street while you eat your meal. The dining area can get pretty noisy when only half full. Not recommend for quiet conversations.

A gem I believe gets overlooked in Arcata. Great service, cozy atmosphere and the food has never disappointed. Quality over quantity stands true here.
